Family engagement happens in the home, early childhood settings, school, and the community and is a shared responsibility of all. It provides meaningful and effective strategies that impact a child's learning and achievement. Family engagement happens when teachers encourage families to participate in learning experiences and families support their children at home, childcare and in their community. This forms a beneficial relationship in which everyone is committed to listening and working together.
